Four activists for black rights have been convicted of federal charges of conspiring to act as unregistered Russian agents, the Justice Department said. Omali Yeshitela, 82, Penny Hess, 78, Jesse Nevel, 34, and Augustus Romain, 38, face maximum sentences of five years in prison, the department said in a statement. A court in Georgia has dismissed two of the 10 criminal charges against Donald Trump and one other charge against his allies for alleged attempts to interfere in the 2020 presidential election. Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee ruled on Thursday that the southern state did not have the authority to bring the specific charges related to the alleged filing of false documents in federal court. The Nairobi County government has announced the relocation of traders selling potatoes, pineapples, oranges, and onions from Wakulima Market to the newly built Kangundo Market, citing several critical issues. A woman was found dead in her house after she had been stabbed in a domestic fight with her boyfriend in Mukuru slums, Nairobi. The deceased was identified only as Regina by her neighbours. A roommate told police she heard the deceased argue with the boyfriend over unknown reasons on Tuesday morning. She did not imagine it would degenerate to murder. The UN agency for Palestinian refugees says six of its employees have been killed in an Israeli air strike on one of the schools it runs in central Gaza. A former CIA officer has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for spying for the Chinese government.  Alexander Yuk Ching Ma, 71, was arrested in August 2020 after admitting to an undercover FBI agent that he sold US secrets to China. Ma, a naturalised US citizen born in Hong Kong, worked for the CIA from 1982 to 1989. He went on to work for the FBI later in his career. Peru’s former President Alberto Fujimori, who was convicted of human rights abuses and corruption, has died aged 86, his daughter has confirmed. Fujimori governed Peru between 1990 and 2000 before being forced from office amid allegations of corruption.
