The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Wednesday approved a $941 million (Ksh.150 billion) lending boost to Kenya, with an immediate disbursement of $624.5 million (Sh99.6 billion), offering some relief to the East African country as it battles financial pressures. The disbursement under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and Extended Credit Facility (ECF) programs will also be topped by a release of $60.2 million (Sh9.6 billion) under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF) arrangement. Donald Trump’s lawyers accused E Jean Carroll of courting publicity on Wednesday, as she said her reputation was left “shattered” after accusing him of sexual assault in the 1990s. A former Sierra Leonean president has been granted permission to travel abroad on medical grounds despite facing treason charges. The High Court ruling comes amid speculation that Ernest Bai Koroma has agreed to go into exile in Nigeria if charges against him were dropped. Yemen’s Houthis Wednesday targeted a US-owned vessel in the Gulf of Aden after Washington said it will re-designate the group as “global terrorists”. Police are investigating a mysterious murder of a middle aged woman whose body was found dumped on the roadside in Juja, Kiambu county on Wednesday morning.  The naked body was found dumped at Gwa-Kairu area in Juja, police said.
