    Barclays Bank

Barclays Bank is set to unveil a scholarship program that will see 420 students who excel academically but struggle financially get up to Ksh.150,000.

The bank said that it would partner with the Higher Educations Loans board (HELB) in rolling out the program as it already has established elaborate systems.

The program is an initiative by the Barclays Bank C.E.O Maria Ramos and is part of the banks larger Pan African growth agenda.

The Initiative will be gender sensitive and will also cater to people with disabilities.

The program will be rolled out on a 50:50 basis with about 4% going to the students living with disability.

The students will be picked from all the 47 counties for the purposes of ethnic inclusion.

Barclays Bank hopes that the initiative will go a long way in helping students who have been accepted in Universities but cannot afford it.
