Benjamin Siele Appointed CEO Of AGC Tenwek Hospital

AGC Tenwek Hospital has named Benjamin Siele as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective April 1, 2025.

Board Chair Robert Lang’at announced Siele’s appointment following a competitive recruitment process that began in August 2024 after the resignation of the previous CEO in July of the same year.

The search was conducted by Interlink Management & Development Consulting and concluded on March 25, 2025.

“I am glad to announce that the Hospital Board has appointed Mr. Benjamin Siele as CEO, effective April 1, 2025. He will report to the Board of Governors through the Board Chairman,” Lang’at said.

Siele has been serving as the hospital’s Human Resources & Administration Director since January 2022. In July 2024, he was appointed Acting CEO, a role he has held for the past nine months.

The Board commended his leadership during this period, particularly in navigating financial and operational challenges in the healthcare sector.

With a career spanning over 27 years in agriculture, manufacturing, FMCG, NGO, and healthcare sectors, Siele brings a wealth of experience in strategic and human resource management.

His primary focus will be implementing the hospital’s 2024-2028 Strategic Plan, ensuring financial sustainability, and positioning AGC Tenwek Hospital as a leading healthcare facility in Kenya and beyond.

Siele holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from Kenyatta University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Kenya Institute of Management, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategic Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology.

He is a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and has previously worked at Unilever Tea East Africa, Unilever Kenya, Land O’Lakes International Development, and Nairobi Women’s Hospital.
