    Boy dies after jumping from rooftop of structure in Nyali

    A five-year-old boy died after he jumped from the rooftop of a building in Kongowea area, Nyali, Mombasa County.

    The boy was among a group of pupils attending a madrasa session at Masjid Noor in the area when the incident happened on November 18, 2025 in the afternoon.

    The boy died instantly after landing on the ground floor, police and witnesses said.

    The locals buried the body at a local cemetery before police could process the scene.

    Police said they are investigating the incident.

    Elsewhere in the Nairobi West area, an employee of Nairobi West Hospital was found dead in his house. Police said Justine Maina had not reported to work for two days which prompted his medical colleague to check on him.

    He found Maina lying dead on bed. Police said they suspect the man died about four days ago. The body was discovered on November 18, 2025 in the afternoon and moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.

    In Munanda, Gilgil, Nakuru County, a decomposed body of a man was found on a piece of land after a suspected murder.

    The body had been mauled by wild animals in the area and police suspected the animals to be hyenas.

    The man’s left hand was missing and leg had been badly eaten up.

    The remains were picked up to the mortuary for autopsy and other procedures.

    Elsewhere in Obambo, Kisumu County, one George Ombodo, 31 was found dead on the roadside after he collapsed there.

    His body was found next to three pieces of fish and chips that were in a paper bag after the November 18 incident.

    The cause of the death was not immediately known and the body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.
