    Brian Ebenezer Adjei Brobbey is a Dutch professional footballer born on February 1, 2002, in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

    He plays as a striker for Premier League club Sunderland and has represented the Netherlands national team.

    Brobbey is known for his physical strength, pace, clinical finishing, and ability to hold up play effectively.

    Brobbey joined the Ajax academy in 2010 at the age of eight after starting at local club AFC Amsterdam.

    He quickly stood out in the youth ranks, scoring prolifically across various age groups.

    He made his senior debut for Ajax in 2019 and contributed to Eredivisie title wins in the early 2020s.

    In 2021, he transferred to RB Leipzig but struggled for minutes, leading to a successful loan return to Ajax in 2022 where he impressed with regular goals.

    Ajax signed him back permanently, and Brobbey enjoyed his most productive spell there, becoming a key forward with strong goal tallies and assists in the Eredivisie and European competitions.

    His performances earned him multiple Player of the Month awards.

    In 2025, he moved to Sunderland in the Premier League for a significant transfer fee, marking a new chapter in English football where he has continued to show his scoring instincts.

    Internationally, Brobbey has progressed through Dutch youth teams, winning UEFA European Under-17 Championships, and earned senior caps for the Netherlands.

    Accolades

    Brobbey won two Eredivisie titles (2020–21 and 2021–22) and contributed to domestic cup successes, including the KNVB Cup.

    At the youth level, he secured two UEFA European Under-17 Championship titles with the Netherlands in 2018 and 2019, along with Dutch youth championships.

    Individually, Brobbey has been recognized multiple times as Eredivisie Player of the Month and Ajax Player of the Year in standout seasons.
