    DCI Arrests Two Suspects Linked To Assault Of Varsity Student

    The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has announced that they were finally able to arrest two suspects who had gone into hiding after assaulting a university student.

    The authorities noted that they were able to nab the two following information relayed to them by the public.

    The DCI stated: “Mr.James Luambe Odete-wanted for Grievous harm & Malicious damage to Property-was yesterday arrested by Detectives following a tip-off from members of the Public.”

    The DCI went ahead to appreciate members of the public for aiding them to apprehend the duo, however, they noted that one other suspect is still at large and detectives are still hunting him down.

    “Thank you so much for your RTs & info.We’re still appealing for info on the other suspect-Mr.Innocent Samba,” they concluded.

    On Monday morning, the DCI called on the public to offer any information on the three suspects to the ‘nearest police station.’

    “Mr.Innocent Samba & Mr.James Luambe Odete are wanted by DCI Detectives in #Kilimani to face charges of Grievous harm & Malicious Damage to Property. If you know them or have any info that may help us, kindly report at #DCI Kilimani or at the nearest Police station,” they posted on their social media platform.

    The three are among suspects who were captured in a video last week assaulting a university student.

    They were among four others who were arrest on Saturday and charged before Milimani Law Courts on Monday.

    The accused were later released on a cash bail of Ksh300,000 and a bond of Ksh500,000.

    The hearing date for their case was set for 13 June, 2019.
