Detectives in Kasarani have arrested two men accused of running a fake online massage scam that left victims robbed of their money and belongings.

The suspects, Alex Mugo Wachira and Simon Chomba Mbogo, allegedly posed as attractive women offering professional massage services through online platforms. However, the advertised services turned out to be a trap.

According to a statement by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), one of the victims was lured to a house along Lumumba Drive in Kasarani after seeing an online advert promising high-end massage sessions by two women.

But instead of receiving a relaxing massage, the man was met with knives.

The suspects reportedly forced the victim to transfer Sh280,000 to their mobile number.

They also stole his other valuables before throwing him out of the house.

Following the report filed at Kasarani Police Station, detectives launched investigations.

With the help of forensic leads, the two suspects were tracked down and arrested while enjoying themselves in the Kamiti area, believed to be spending the stolen money.

“The duo is currently in custody, undergoing processing pending arraignment,” detectives said.
