    FNB allows customers to purchase US dollars and other foreign currencies for travel, international payments, and other approved purposes. You can order US dollar cash (foreign notes), load US dollars onto an FNB Multi-currency Cash Passport™, or buy and hold US dollars in an FNB Global Account through Online Banking or the FNB App. Depending on the purpose of your purchase, you may be required to provide supporting documents such as a valid passport and proof of travel. Learning how to buy dollars with FNB can help you prepare for international travel or foreign currency transactions conveniently and securely.

      Log In to FNB Online Banking or the FNB App

    Open the FNB App or sign in to FNB Online Banking using your secure login details.

    Navigate to the Forex section to access foreign exchange services.

    • Log in securely
    • Open the Forex menu
    • Select the appropriate foreign exchange service
    1. Choose How You Want to Receive the Dollars

    Select whether you want to order US dollar cash, load a Multi-currency Cash Passport™, or transfer funds to an FNB Global Account.

    Choose the option that best suits your travel or international payment needs.

    • Select Foreign Notes for cash
    • Choose Multi-currency Cash Passport™ for a travel card
    • Select Global Account if you want to hold US dollars electronically
    1. Enter the Purchase Details

    Specify the amount of US dollars you want to buy and complete the required transaction information.

    Depending on the purpose of the purchase, FNB may request supporting documents such as your passport and proof of travel.

    • Enter the amount in US dollars
    • Upload supporting documents if required
    • Review the exchange rate and fees

    Review all the transaction details before confirming your order.

    You can choose to collect your foreign currency from a selected FNB branch or have it delivered where this service is available and applicable.

    • Confirm your purchase
    1. Collect or Access Your US Dollars

    Once your order has been processed, collect your foreign notes from the selected branch or access your funds through your travel card or Global Account.

    Keep your receipt and any supporting documents for your records.

    • Collect your US dollars if ordered as cash
    • Access your travel card or Global Account funds
    • Keep your transaction confirmation safely
