    Career

DeBrusk developed his game in Alberta before moving to the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he starred with the Swift Current Broncos.

In his final junior season, he posted impressive numbers, including 42 goals and 81 points in 72 games, showcasing the offensive potential that led to his high draft selection.

He made his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins in 2017 and scored his first goal in emotional fashion with his family, including father Louie, in attendance.

Over seven-plus seasons with the Bruins, DeBrusk became a key contributor, helping the team reach the Stanley Cup Final in 2019.

He set career highs in several categories during his Boston tenure and played a leading role in the 2024 playoffs before departing as a free agent.

In July 2024, he signed a seven-year, $38.5 million contract with the Vancouver Canucks, where he has continued to produce as a top-six forward.

Known for his mobility and ability to contribute offensively while playing responsibly in his own zone, DeBrusk has appeared in over 600 NHL regular-season games.

    Accolades

DeBrusk has recorded multiple 20-plus goal seasons and reached new personal bests in goals and points after joining Vancouver.

While he has not yet captured major individual NHL awards, his consistent production and playoff performances have established him as a valuable veteran winger.
