The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has issued a 14-day ultimatum to all advertisers with billboards, directional signs, and utility wayleaves along national roads to pay their annual renewal fees and clear any outstanding arrears.

In a public notice issued on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, KeNHA Director-General Luka Kimeli said the payments must be made within 14 days from the date of the notice.

KeNHA directed that all renewals should be processed online through the authority’s permit portal at https://permits.kenha.co.ke:7080.

The authority warned that failure to comply by Tuesday, February 24, 2026, will result in enforcement action, including the demolition of non-compliant structures and recovery of all related costs, without further notice to owners or their agents.

KeNHA also advised individuals and companies intending to use billboard advertising or utility wayleave services to first confirm the compliance status of service providers.

To verify permits, KeNHA said copies of valid permits should be sent to rsd@kenha.co.ke for confirmation.
