Samsung is promoting a major international press conference and Samsung Africa Forum to be held in Nairobi. The event will be at Kenyatta International Conference Centre on 11th May and it seems like many phones, tablets, TVs and even IT stuff will be launched at the event. After the press conference, Samsung will be be having what they call Samsung Forum which we believe is some kind of exhibition.

Ooh I have just been informed that it is the turn of Kenya to eat. Last year’s event was hosted in Johannesburg in South Africa. The world forum was hosted in Vienna, Austria. Samsung Africa Forum is one great opportunity for the continent to sample some of the products the electronics manufacturer has to offer.  The three-day spectacular  event is where  Samsung  showcases  the  latest  innovations  like  audio  visual  and  home  appliances,  mobile  handsets,  digital  cameras  and  notebooks.

The strategy  behind  the  Samsung  Africa  Forum  is  geared  to allow  consumers,  business  partners  and associates, media and government to experience the brand and appreciate the company’s leadership position both locally and globally. The PR and promotions for the event is being handled by South African based Orange Ink and Cerebra. Blue Print, we hear, has been representing the South African PR agencies here temporarily.

Samsung  Africa  Forum  will  bring together  key  media,  customers,  distributors,  top  Samsung  executives  to  exchange  new  ideas  in technology. The theme of the event at KICC is “Built for Africa”.

Follow the Forum with the official hashtag – #SamsungAfricaForum

UPDATE: We hear that invites to this event was being sent to mostly those who have signed-up for the Samsung Warranty thing. We arre trying to arrange with Samsung country manager, Mr Nair, if we can get a few readers in but that is just a trial. Lets wait and see if we will get through. This event was being handled from South Africa.

This is the SMS Samsung Users recieved: The SMS Read ‘Invite to Samsung Africa Forum @ KICC 15/5 11am -4 Huge discounts on over 500 products This SMS admits 4 people – Save & Show to enter No tickets sold at the gate’
