Kiambu National Polytechnic has announced a new opportunity for Kenyan trainees to join a Hospitality Apprenticeship Programme in Germany, in partnership with BSZ Erding and DEHOGA Bavaria.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, the institution said the programme targets young professionals aged between 18 and 24 years with a background in hospitality. Eligible applicants must have basic knowledge of the German language — at least Level A1 or its equivalent — and hold training in Food and Beverage or Catering and Accommodation, with a minimum qualification of Artisan/Level 4. Applicants with at least two years of work experience in the hospitality industry will also be considered.
The blended training will take place at Kiambu National Polytechnic (KINAP) for six months, running from January to July 2026. The programme will include both German language lessons and a hospitality curriculum.
“Successful graduates will be placed in leading hotels in Germany for a paid apprenticeship in preparation for entry into the German job market,” read part of the notice.
Interested candidates are required to send their applications, including proof of German language proficiency, to principal@kiambupoly.ac.ke by October 24, 2025.
The Polytechnic added that only shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.
