A suspected major trafficker of cannabis was arrested on Monday in Nairobi’s Central Business District.

According to authorities, George Odhiambo Owuor was arrested along Kirinyaga Road, where police also recovered a large haul of drugs and packaging materials.

During the operation, officers seized 50 kilograms of bhang, 1,350 rolls of bhang, 400 packets of Razzle (rolling papers), 6,000 filter tips, and two weighing machines.

“Based on what was recovered, the suspect is believed to be a major trafficker of cannabis in the city,” a police statement said.

Owuor was taken into custody and interrogated before being formally charged in court.
