    Man Stabs And Kills Ex-Girlfriend In Confrontation In Tigoni, Kiambu County

    A 32-year-old woman was stabbed and killed in an attack in Ngenia, Tigoni, Kiambu County.

    Valentine Wanjiku succumbed to stab wounds she sustained on the way while she was with another man.

    The incident happened as the two entered their home at the Ngenia Makaburini area on Sunday morning.

    Witnesses said the assailant is an ex-boyfriend of the deceased woman.

    Wanjiku sustained serious and deadly wounds in the neck, right thigh and left leg.

    She was rushed to Tigoni Level Four hospital where it was confirmed by the doctor that she had already succumbed to the injuries.

    Police said they were looking for a suspect known to the slain woman for grilling.

    The motive of the attack is yet to be known.

    Elsewhere in Vitengeni area, Kilifi, a 75-year-old man was found murdered in a tragic incident.

    The body of Gonzi Tinga Kalo was found on his piece of land with a pool of blood caked around it.

    It lay about 150 meters from his house and had two deep cuts at the back of the head and on the face.

    His left hand was also injured at the wrist while the right ankle was chopped off.

    Police said his maize plantation was destroyed in the drama. His mobile phone, a knife, a wallet with Sh260 and his national identity card were found at the scene.

    The motive of the incident was not known. Police said they are investigating the murder.

    In Mwangulu, Kwale County one Mwamkono Chaka, 70 was hacked to death outside his house.

    His wife was in the house when the incident happened, police said.

    She escaped for her safety as the assailants descended on the man killing him on the spot on Saturday night.

    The motive of the incident was not immediately known.

    The bodies were moved to the mortuary pending autopsy.

    Such murder incidents have been rampant in the area, with police blaming land for the same.

    The killers target the elderly in the attacks. Police say most of the victims are old men.
