Maximilian Zlatan Seger Ibrahimović, born on September 22, 2006, in Lund, Sweden, is a professional footballer who plays primarily as an attacking midfielder and winger.

The 19-year-old is the eldest son of Swedish football legend Zlatan Ibrahimović and his longtime partner Helena Seger.

He has emerged as a promising talent in his own right, carving out a path through youth academies while navigating the considerable shadow of his father’s illustrious career.

    Siblings

Maximilian has one younger brother, Vincent Seger Ibrahimović, born on March 6, 2008.

Like his older sibling, Vincent is also a footballer and part of AC Milan’s youth setup, specifically with the Under-18 team.

The two brothers have grown up immersed in football, often appearing together in family moments alongside their parents, and both have followed their father into the Rossoneri’s academy system.

    Career

Maximilian began his football journey in Sweden, notably progressing through the youth ranks at Hammarby IF before joining AC Milan’s academy in 2022.

He signed his first professional contract with Milan in 2024 and has featured for the club’s reserve sides, including Milan Futuro.

In the 2024–25 season, he made appearances in Serie C and Serie D, netting several goals that highlighted his attacking potential.

He has also trained with the senior Milan squad and was called up for the Italian Supercoppa in late 2025 amid injuries, marking a notable step toward first-team integration.

In January 2026, Maximilian moved to Jong Ajax on loan from AC Milan, with an option to buy.

This move connected him to one of his father’s former clubs, where Zlatan enjoyed significant success early in his career.

At Ajax, he has been integrated into the U23 side while training with the first team, aiming to develop further in the Dutch system.

Known for his technical skills, positioning, and goal-scoring ability from wider or central attacking roles, Maximilian has expressed a desire to establish his own identity separate from the “Ibrahimović” legacy.

    Accolades

Ibrahimović has not yet accumulated major senior trophies.

His achievements to date center on his development and contributions at youth and reserve levels, including consistent performances and goal tallies in Italian lower divisions with Milan Futuro.

He has represented Sweden at various youth international levels, such as making his U18 debut.

His call-up to Milan’s senior squad for competitive fixtures like the Supercoppa represents a significant personal milestone.
