    Passengers Travelling From JKIA Advised To Arrive Early For Departures

    Passengers  who plan to depart from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) have been asked to arrive at the airport four hours prior.

    The Kenya Airport Authority has said that due to the disruption by VIPs arriving for the inauguration ceremony of president Uhuru Kenyatta

    “Airport users will be allowed to access JKIA through Mombasa Rd. Traffic will be interrupted from time to time due to VVIP movement; we, therefore, advise passengers to plan to be at the airport at least 4hrs before departure,” a statement from the airport said

    Passengers have also been told to plan their flights accordingly. KAA still maintains that the airport is fully functional and that the airport can be accessed via Mombasa Road.

    The KAA has also said that there will be slight traffic caused by the departure of the various heads of State.
