Ronaldo has been left out of Portugal’s next two international assignments following the sexual assault allegations against him.
The European champions play Poland away in the UEFA Nations League next week Thursday before taking on Scotland three days later.
Portugal’s manager has said the decision was reached after consulting the FA and the player.
The Juventus star, who has not played for the national team since the Russia World Cup mid this year will also miss the next cycle of international matches.
“We agreed the player wouldn’t be available, wouldn’t be an option for selection,” Mr Santos said.
“For the next two squad selections, this one and the one next month, Ronaldo won’t be with us.”
Ronaldo, 33, is being accused by ex-US model Kathryn Mayorga, 34, of sexually abusing her.

The incident reportedly happened in 2009 at a hotel in Las Vegas with the two agreeing on a non disclosure deal worth $375,000.
But Kathryn decided to go public after being inspired by the #MeToo movement.
Las Vegas police have since re-opened investigations into the claims with Kathryn pressing charges demanding additional $200,000.
