Rongo University has announced a recruitment drive for several administrative and academic positions, inviting qualified candidates to submit applications before the end of the month.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, the university advertised vacancies in both its administrative and teaching departments.

Among the administrative positions available are Medical Officer and Assistant Pharmaceutical Technologist I, with one vacancy each. Other advertised positions include two Technician II posts, five Administrative Assistant II positions, and five Clerical Officer II positions.

The university is also seeking to recruit academic staff, including a Senior Lecturer in Nursing and lecturers in Physical Education, Performing Arts, Mining, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Broadcast Media.

In addition, Rongo University has re-advertised lecturer positions in Special Needs Education (Hearing Impairment) and Technology Education (Computer Studies), with one vacancy available in each discipline.

Applicants are required to submit 10 copies of their application documents, including an application letter, updated curriculum vitae, academic and professional certificates, transcripts, testimonials, and evidence of work experience.

The university said the reference number of the position applied for must be clearly indicated on both the application letter and the envelope.

    Applications should be addressed to:

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Finance and Planning
    Rongo University
    P.O. Box 103-40404
    Rongo

Applicants have also been advised to request their referees to send recommendation letters in sealed envelopes to the same address.

Further details on the vacancies, qualifications and job requirements are available on the university’s website at www.rongovarsity.ac.ke/vacancies.

The deadline for submission of applications is July 27, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

The university warned that applications received after the deadline will not be considered and noted that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

“Applications received later than the deadline will not be considered. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification,” the notice states.
