    Ruth Bradley, born Sharon Ruth Bradley on January 24, 1987, in Dublin, Ireland, is a celebrated Irish actress known for her versatile performances across television, film, and audio dramas.

    The daughter of award-winning actress Charlotte Bradley, Ruth grew up with a natural inclination toward the performing arts.

    Her early years were spent partly in Newfoundland, Canada, where her family lived until she was five.

    After returning to Ireland, she briefly attended Trinity College Dublin to study drama and languages but left after three weeks to pursue acting full-time in London.

    She gained early recognition for her role as Antoinette Keegan in the 2006 miniseries Stardust, a performance that showcased her emotional depth.

    Over the years, Ruth has taken on diverse roles, from the sci-fi series Humans (2015–2018), where she played DI Karen Voss, to the ITV science fiction show Primeval (2011), where she portrayed Emily Merchant.

    Her film work includes the Australian drama In Her Skin (2009), a harrowing true story in which she played the lead role of Caroline Reed, and the Irish comedy-horror Grabbers (2012), where she starred as Garda Lisa Nolan.

    Ruth has also lent her voice to the Doctor Who audio drama Dark Eyes, playing companion Molly O’Sullivan alongside Paul McGann’s Eighth Doctor.

    Her recent roles include appearances in Slow Horses, Ted Lasso (2021), and Guilt (2019), demonstrating her ability to seamlessly transition between genres, from crime thrillers to comedies.

    Bradley’s talent has been recognized with numerous awards and nominations.

    In 2007, she won the IFTA (Irish Film and Television Award) for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Stardust, a significant milestone early in her career.

    Her performance in In Her Skin earned her the Best Actress award at the 2010 Milan International Film Festival, highlighting her ability to captivate international audiences.

    In 2012, she secured another IFTA for Best Actress in a Feature Film for Grabbers, further cementing her status as a leading actress in Irish cinema.

    She also won an IFTA for Best Actress in a Lead Role – Drama in 2016 for her work in Rebellion.

    Additional nominations include an IFTA nod for Best Actress in Legend (2006) and for her supporting roles in Humans (2017 and 2020).
