    Safaricom Reduces Home Data Prices By 53%

    Safaricom has reduced their pricing on mobile broadband by up to 53%. This services are usually provide as an alternative for the fixed home fiber internet service .

    In this new plan Safari com will be charging Sh3,500 for 30 Gigabytes (GB) under Easy30 bundle which is valid for 30 days and Sh6,000 for 50GB under Easy50 package, which has a validity of  45 days.

    Under this service if the bundle  is not depleted within the specified valid period the unused bundle will roll over upon purchasing of new bundles. The same plan allows customers who have depleted the bundles to still access the service at a speed of 256 kbps until the validity period expires.

    Safaricom users who had already purchased the big box can now acces the service at discounted rates. The plan allows  customers to purchase monthly home bundles at Sh3,199 for 15GB and Sh1,199 for 5GB which is valid for 30 days.

    This reduction comes after their competitor Telkom launched a data plan for mobile data market with monthly bundles of Sh1,000 for 25GB and Sh6,000 for 210GB.
