Selena Gomez has unveiled a striking new look, surprising fans with a dramatic hair transformation while offering a glimpse into her latest adventures in London.

The singer and actress, 33, shared an Instagram carousel on Tuesday, June 2, featuring behind-the-scenes moments from the set of Only Murders in the Building, as well as snapshots from her time in the British capital.

“Wild things happening with @onlymurdershulu while adoring London 💕,” Gomez captioned the post.

While the carousel included several photos alongside her co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short, it was Gomez’s unexpected hair makeover that quickly captured fans’ attention.

In one of the final images, Gomez appeared seated cross-legged on a bed wearing a black tank top and grey sweatpants. Instead of her signature dark brunette hair, she sported vibrant red curls. The following slide featured a short video of the actress relaxing on a bed while showing off the new look through a mirror selfie.

Although many fans believe the hairstyle is likely a wig created for her character in Only Murders in the Building, the bold copper shade generated excitement across social media.

“The red hair??!!! Helloooo,” one fan commented.

Another wrote, “OMG THE WIG!! I LOVE THAT COLOR ON YOU.”

A third added, “Ohhhh the hair! 😍”

The new look comes as production continues on the sixth season of Hulu’s hit mystery-comedy series Only Murders in the Building.

The streaming platform confirmed the show’s renewal shortly after the Season 5 finale aired in October 2025.

“Self-explanatory! Hooray!” Steve Martin wrote on Instagram at the time while celebrating the renewal.

Reports previously suggested that the upcoming season would take the story beyond New York City, with parts of the plot set in London. The cast later confirmed they would be filming in the United Kingdom.

“Well, looks like our fam is going to London y’all,” Gomez told fans through her Instagram Stories following the announcement.

Earlier this year, the actress also shared a black-and-white photograph featuring herself, Martin and Martin Short sitting together on the floor, further teasing their return for another season.

Gomez’s latest social media update has only heightened anticipation for Season 6, while her temporary red-haired makeover has given fans yet another reason to keep a close eye on the Emmy-nominated star.
