    Siblings

Theo grew up in a large family of five children, all of whom have pursued acting careers to varying degrees.

His mother, Dorothea Trebs, works as a talent agent, which has likely supported the siblings’ entries into the industry.

His brother Enno Trebs appeared alongside him in the film The White Ribbon.

His sister Nele Trebs is known for playing the young Katharina Nielsen in the popular Netflix science fiction thriller series Dark.

The other siblings, Lilli Trebs and Pepe Trebs, are also young German actors, making the Trebs family a notable acting dynasty in Germany.

    Career

Trebs began his acting journey with supporting roles in the late 2000s, including appearances in Lilly the Witch – The Dragon and the Magic Book (2008) and Krupp – A German Family (2008), where he portrayed a young Alfried Krupp.

He achieved wider recognition for his performance as Ferdinand in Michael Haneke’s award-winning historical drama The White Ribbon (2009), a film set in a rural German village before World War I.

He followed this with notable lead and supporting roles, such as in the zombie comedy Rammbock: Berlin Undead (2010) and the soccer drama Lessons of a Dream (2011), in which he played Felix Hartung.

Over the years, Trebs has appeared in various television productions, including episodes of Leipzig Homicide, Tatort, and more recently in projects like the miniseries The Gryphon.

    Accolades

In 2011, Trebs won the New Faces Award for Best Newcomer for his performances in Rammbock and Lessons of a Dream.

He also earned a nomination for the Young Artist Award in 2012 for Best Young Actor in an International Feature Film for his leading role in Lessons of a Dream.
