Toyota Uganda is counting losses in millions after their showroom in Kampala along Jinja Road in the industrial area caught fire on Sunday afternoon.

The fire which started at around 4pm had already gutted one vehicle by the time Police Fire Brigade responded, and was spreading to the other vehicles in the showroom.

The police are yet to establish the cause of the fire and the value of property destroyed, although the director of Police Fire and Rescue Service John Mugisa suspects that the fire could have been as a result of an electric short circuit.
