Tuskys Supermarket Co-Owner Yusuf Mugweru has spoken out over rumors circulating about a possible merger with Nakumatt.

According to reports, Mugweru has opposed the idea of merging with the company despite reports that a deal was set to be made last week.

Mugweru claims that he was not apart of the negotiations with the struggling Nakumatt and has not been informed of any deal.

The Tuskys retail chain is owned by Mugweru and his six siblings.

However, the director claims he was not aware of the proposed deal through until it was brought to his attention by the media.

This comes in light of an announcement last week that the two retail chains were in ongoing talks about a possible merger but were yet to come to an agreement.

As a result Mugweru has threatened to take legal action against his siblings in an effort to put a stop to the merger.
