Bungoma Senator elect, Moses Wetangula’s bodyguard, Simon Lonya who was on Monday disarmed by Supreme Court officers will today appear in court for causing disturbance outside the court.
Simon refused to leave his firearm with the guards causing a standoff. His boss insisted that his ‘boy’ be allowed in.
The bodyguard was forcefully disarmed and held by the Police at the SCOK.
The NASA principals led by Raila Odinga confronted the guards manning the entrance causing drama.

They were allowed in but after a bitter exchange of words between the opposition leaders and the guards.
In August 25, 2017 the judiciary directed that only security officers deployed in the SCOK be armed.
“Kindly note that apart from police officers who are deployed at the courts, no other persons shall be allowed to access our premises with firearms.”
