Early Life
Born on December 28, 1960, in Los Angeles, California, McQueen grew up surrounded by the film industry. He made his screen debut as a child in his father’s iconic film Bullitt (1968).
He later appeared in several films throughout the 1970s and 1980s, including The Getaway and the cult classic The Karate Kid. In The Karate Kid, McQueen portrayed Dutch, a member of the Cobra Kai dojo alongside characters played by William Zabka and Martin Kove, antagonizing Daniel LaRusso. He reprised the role in the 1986 sequel.
Passion for Motorsports
While acting brought him recognition, McQueen’s true passion was motorsports—a love inherited from his father. He began racing motorcycles at a young age before transitioning to professional car racing.
Over the years, he competed in prestigious events and series, including the World Sports Car Championship, the Rolex Grand-Am Sports Car Series, and the Japanese Grand Touring Car Championship.
