The construction of the second phase of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) is slowly taking shape after the government secured a Shs. 155 Billion from the Exim Bank, China. The construction of the 120km railway that is supposed to go through Nairobi all the way to Naivasha will start any time this month. A bus overturned on the busy Nairobi- Mombasa highway on Wednesday morning injuring 19 people. The accident occurred at Kapiti near Konza city. A newly released opinion poll suggests a Raila Odinga win. The Infotrak poll shows NASA presidential candidate will beat President Uhuru Kenyatta with a 1% margin. To boost compliance, KRA will on August 31, deactivate taxpayers who are yet to register to iTax Systems. The systems were put in place to eace access to the taxpayer ledger.
