A Manhattan jury has found that the New York Times is not liable for allegedly defaming ex-Alaska Governor Sarah Palin in an editorial piece it published in 2017. The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) has opened an investigation into an alleged case of police brutality in Narok following the circulation of disturbing images on social media showing injuries sustained by a woman, purportedly at the hands of a police officer. A controversial church in Rongo town, Migori County was closed indefinitely following a series of alarming events and public outcry regarding an unknown number of deaths and illegal burials associated with it. A 50-year-old woman was found murdered after a domestic fight in Isongo B village, Butula, Busia County. Police said they are looking for the husband of the woman identified as Juliana Achieng Ososo over the murder, which happened on April 20, 2025.
