Judges at the International Criminal Court (ICC) Thursday issued arrest warrants for Israel’s prime minister and former defence minister, as well as Hamas’s military commander. A statement said a pre-trial chamber had rejected Israel’s challenges to the court’s jurisdiction and issued warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and Yoav Gallant. A businessman was shot and killed during a robbery mission in Luanda Township, Vihiga County. Police said the incident happened on November 19 and also left the deceased Wilson Seika’s wife with serious injuries. The couple ran a general merchants shop in Luanda Town. Police said multi-agency teams were screening passengers when they found one American national identified as Zachary Aaron, 24 with the bullet in his bag. The government will provide Sh100 million for a nationwide awareness campaign against gender-based violence, President William Ruto has said. Leading Ugandan opposition figure Kizza Besigye appeared in a military court in Kampala on Wednesday, his lawyer said, after his reported abduction in Nairobi, Kenya.
