    Benta Opande Seeks Justice After Botched Surgery At Nairobi Hospital

    A woman is seeking for justice after doctors in Nairobi Hospital misdiagnosed her nearly costing her her life.

    Benta Opande went to the hospital in May 2017 for a minor surgery which ended up leaving her worse than she was.

    The hospital still demanded that she pays Sh. 2.4 Million shillings after the botched surgery. Benta was forced to go to India to remove screws that the doctors from Nairobi hospital had placed in her spinal cord.

    The doctor told Benta that he had also suffered the same condition and had undergone treatment in Kenya and was okay after a surgery.

    The Neurosurgeon told told that he also suffered backache similar to condition and had successfully been operated on in Kenya. He confirmed to Benta that he has screws fixed on his spine and his life was much better after the surgery.#JusticeForBentaOpande pic.twitter.com/3Y7tD6E6Ho

    According to reports  Benta had pain her back and went for a check up at the Nairobi hospital. The doctors there said that she would get relief after a surgery. She says that during the operation the doctors fractured her limbs and went ahead to stitch her up, that was the beginning of her trouble  as  she felt pain and on consultation she was told that she had become paralyzed and could not walk again.

    According to the poster that is doing rounds the hospital now demands that she pays she pays Sh. 2.4 million after the botched surgery that left her in pain and paralyzed.

    Kenyans online have demanded that the Kenya medical practitioners board and the  Kenya medical practitioners union (KMPDU) to look into the matter and stop negligence from doctors . Nairobi hospital has also been put on the spot to investigate the issue.
