Leopards were bundled out of SportPesa Shield at quarterfinals stage, effectively ending any hopes of bagging any silverware this season.

Tusker then rubbed more salt on their would, thumping them 4-0 in a mid-week KPL match at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos, leading to Zapata’s suspension.

The team was handed over to his assistant Tom Juma and Team Manager Gilbert Selebwa for the remainder of the 2018 season.

According to Kahawa Tungu sources, Zapata had fallen out with members of the technical bench and it was a matter of time before he could be pushed out.
