Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives have raided the homes of Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulala over Ksh2 billion scandal.

The officers raided his Nairobi and Samburu homes in an alleged hunt to get documents showing the expenditure of the embezzled money.

It is reported that the officers went to the governor’s Karen, Nairobi home at 5:30 a.m to carry out their search.

The governor is said to be at him home at the time of the raid.

Additionally, the anti-graft officials also raided the homes of Samburu County Chief Officers.

According to a report tabled in the Senate last year, Samburu county was among the eight counties that had failed to account for public funds.

The other counties included: Busia, Kisumu, Trans Nzoia, Nyandarua, Tana River, Kwale and Kericho.
