    Former Gov’t Spokesman Eric Kiraithe Appointed ICT Principal Administrative Secretary

    Former Government Spokesman Eric Kiraithe has been appointed to the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology(ICT) as the Principal Administrative Secretary (PAS).

    New Government Spokesman Retired Colonel  Cyrus Odhiambo Oguna made the announcement moments after taking over as the new government spokesman.

    Oguna was appointed to his new position two weeks ago replacing Mr Kiraithe who had served in the capacity since 2015.

    The announcement was made by CS ICT Joe Mucheru who noted that the appointment will take place immediately.

    Mucheru also divulged that the President gave a directive to move the office of the spokesperson to the ICT ministry headed by Mucheru.

    “In line with directions from the Executive Office of the President through the Head of the Public Service, the office of the Government Spokesman shall be domiciled at the ICT Ministry,” the statement read.

    Oguna will have the oversight role of all government communication channels under the ICT Ministry.
