Gor Mahia will be officially crowned as the 2018 Kenyan Premier League champions for a record 17th time on 29 September 2019 in Kisumu.

On the day, K’Ogalo will face 2008 champions Mathare United in an early kick-off match at the Kisumu’s Moi Stadium before the ceremony proper.

The lake-side city has staged Gor’s coronation three times in the past five years including last year when the coach Dylan Kerr’s side reclaimed the title from Tusker FC.

The function was initially booked at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos but Kerr openly suggested Kisumu where the club draws maniac following.

“It’s coming home, it’s coming home, it’s coming home, football is coming home,” Kerr tweeted when he heard the news.

Having secured the league with six matches to spare, bowed out of the Caf Confederation Cup at group stage and got knocked out of the SportPesa Shield, this will be the last big event for K’Ogalo faithful this year locally.

Internationally, the fans can still look forward to the much hyped friendly against Premier League side Everton on 6th November in Liverpool, UK.
