Ireland beat Kenya 24-14 in the 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens challenge trophy quarter-finals on Sunday to deepen their woes.

On Saturday, the Shajaa were bundled out of the main cup after letting go a 26-0 lead to lose to Scotland 26-31 in the round of 16.

Their only win thus far at the global showpiece came against Tonga whom they edged out 19-7 in the pre-qualifiers.

Following the back to back loses Kenya drop to challenge 13/16 placing match where they will face Samoa at 8.28pm Kenyan time.

Meanwhile Ireland, who are a non-core team at the HSBC World Sevens series, will face Wales in the challenge trophy semis.
