Jordan Carl Wheeler Davis, born on March 30, 1988, in Shreveport, Louisiana, is a prominent figure in American country pop music.

Raised by his mother, Luwanna, and father, Ricky, Davis grew up immersed in a musical environment, influenced significantly by his uncle, Stan Paul Davis, a successful Nashville songwriter.

After earning an Environmental Science degree from Louisiana State University, Davis moved to Nashville in 2012 to pursue a career in music, eventually signing with Universal Music Group Nashville’s MCA Nashville division in 2016.

His journey from a small-town Louisiana native to a celebrated country artist reflects his dedication to crafting authentic, relatable songs that resonate with a wide audience.

    Siblings

Jordan has one sibling, his older brother Jacob Davis, who is also a country music singer and songwriter.

Jacob has played a significant role in Jordan’s career, co-writing songs such as “Take It From Me,” which became one of Jordan’s early number-one hits on Country Airplay.

Their uncle, Stan Paul Davis, known for penning Tracy Lawrence’s hits like “Today’s Lonely Fool” and “Better Man, Better Off,” served as an inspiration for both brothers, showing them that songwriting could be a viable profession.

    Career

Davis’ career took off after he moved to Nashville, where he honed his songwriting skills before securing a recording contract with MCA Nashville.

His debut album, Home State (2018), introduced his signature blend of country and pop, featuring hits like “Singles You Up,” “Take It From Me,” and “Slow Dance in a Parking Lot,” all of which reached number one on Country Airplay.
