Kenya has climbed up two places to position 105 in the latest FIFA ranking released Thursday.

The positive movement can be attributed to Harambee Stars’ recent exploits in the Afcon 2019 qualifiers where they drew 0-0 with Ethiopia before thumping them 3-0 earlier this month.

Uganda retain their position as the best ranked nation in this part of Africa after moving up four steps to position 79.

Uganda Cranes were also impressive in the qualifiers hammering Lesotho 3-0 at home and 2-0 away over the same period.

Tanzania is the other biggest gainer in the region moving up four places to position 136.

The Taifa Stars shocked Cape Verde 2-0 at home on the road to the 2019 Afcon in Cameroon.

Globally, Belgium retain the top position, followed by France, Brazil, Croatia, England and Uruguay.
