    Man collapses and dies in Equity Bank hall in Nairobi

    Detectives are investigating an incident where a man collapsed and died in a bank in the Nairobi Central Business District.

    Police said the deceased, identified as Moses Njuguna had gone to the Equity Bank Four Ways Branch for transactions on September 30, 2025 in the afternoon when he collapsed and died.

    He was taken to the Equity Afya Medical Centre along Biashara Street where he was pronounced dead.

    A relative of the victim said she received a call from the bank informing her of the incident.

    The cause of the death was not immediately known. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures, police said.

    The bank did not comment on the saga saying it is under probe for now.

    Police visited the scene where he collapsed and talked to witnesses including the employees as part of the probe into the incident.

    Meanwhile, a minor aged one and two months drowned in a bucket full of water outside their house in Harambee area, Buruburu, Nairobi.

    The girl had been playing outside the house and had been left under the care of her grandmother when the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon.

    A relative found her in the water and removed her in efforts to save her in vain, police said.

    She was rushed to the Mama Lucy Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

    The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

    Police said they are investigating the incident and that the body did not have any visible injuries when it was found at the hospital.

    And a man was found dead after suicide mission at the Elgeyo Forest Station in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

    The man identified as Charles Kabiru Njenga, 25 died in his brother’s house who is an employee at the Kenya Forest Service, police said.

    The motive of the incident was not immediately known. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigations.

    Suicide cases have been on the rise amid efforts to address the menace.
