His elder brother had arrived home late in the night and demanded to pick one family goat to slaughter for the New Year celebrations. It was then that an argument broke out as the assailant went to pick up the goat from a pen.

The assailant picked up a knife and stabbed his brother, killing him.

Police were called to the scene and found the body lying in a pool of blood and his intestines hanging out.

The killer weapon was found dumped about 70 meters away from the scene where the body was lying. This was after the suspect was arrested and led the police to the place he had dumped the sword.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other procedures, police said.
