The National Oil Corporation of Kenya (NOCK) has advertised the position of Chief Executive Officer as the State-owned oil company seeks a substantive holder of the position.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, the corporation invited interested applicants to apply for the position and directed them to its official website for detailed information on the qualifications and application requirements.

NOCK said applications will be received until midnight on October 27, 2026.

The successful candidate will take over the leadership of the corporation as NOCK seeks to strengthen its management and operations.

Duncan Waziri is currently serving as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of NOCK.

Waziri took over the position from Leparan Gideon ole Morintat, who previously served as the corporation’s chief executive.

The recruitment of a substantive CEO will be among the key tasks facing the NOCK board as it seeks to fill the leadership position.

Board Chairperson Kiraitu Murungi, who joined the corporation’s board in 2023, will oversee the recruitment process alongside other board members.
