David Juma Mweru, who had reportedly been on the run for some time, was apprehended following a targeted operation by detectives acting on intelligence. Authorities say the suspect had allegedly been linked to a string of robbery incidents and had repeatedly changed locations to avoid arrest.
Officers cornered and arrested him without resistance. During a search at his residence, detectives recovered five rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition concealed inside a yellow carrier bag.
