Deputy President, William Ruto might miss the Presidential Running Mate debate slated for 17 July.

The debate is organized by Debate Media Limited. The DP hinted at missing in action on Monday in a tweet where he asked if it was true there was going to be a debate.

According to him, he had no idea there was going to be a presidential running mate debate. He says that he only learnt about it through a news alert.

Just seen news alert that there will be a debate of running mates. Is it true?

The President and opposition leader had earlier threatened to back out of the Presidential debate citing lack of consultation by the organizers. The debate was then pushed to the 24th of July.

Kenyans are however looking forward to the very eloquent speaker William Samoei’s face off with Kalonzo Musyoka.
