National Super Alliance (NASA) might be “moribund” as was put by Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula in July but that did not stop the latter from receiving money from the coalition partners.
According to a statement of financial performance for the year ended June 30, 2018, Ford Kenya received Sh6,800,000 from ODM.
“In my view, NASA is now a moribund organization. NASA is history. We were in NASA as FORD-Kenya in a coalition of the willing,” said Wetangula, the Ford-Kenya party leader.
Cracks in NASA started showing after the three principals; Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) and Wetangula were a no show during the People’s President swearing in ceremony on January 30.
Wetangula then lost his Senate minority leader post which he blamed ODM leader Raila Odinga for.
“Raila planned and executed it (his ouster), I can tell you for a fact. The majority party within NASA is ODM. Nothing happens without his (Raila’s) approval. That is the manner in which Raila runs his party,” Wetangula said while appearing on Citizen TV.
