sportpesaHigh court judge has ruled in favor of betting firm Sportspesa saying that the league will have  a maximum od 16 teams as was in the memorandum that stated that the number of teams should be 16 for the period between 2017 and 2020.

The court also said that  the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) should interfere with the running of the league by Sportpesa.

Justice John Mativo said that the regulations that had been set by Nick Mwendwa to be null and void. FKF  communications director however said that they had not received the ruling in full and will issue a statement after they meet tomorrow.

The effect of this will be much awaited since the season is almost coming to an end. Sportspesa might have to think about recalculating and redistributing the points to the initial 16 teams that were in the premier league.
