Police are investigating the source of 20 bullets that were found abandoned at a parking yard in Umoja Two area, Nairobi. A ten-year-old boy who was playing at the yard spotted a carrier bag with wrapped items in it. He told police he checked and realized the contents were 20 live of 7.52 mm, which are used for rifles. The boy alerted his father who later picked the items and took them to the local police post. Police said they are investigating the source of the bullets after the Sunday evening incident. At least 33 Ethiopians were separately arrested for being in the country illegally. They told police they were on transit to South Africa and the Middle East when they were intercepted in Kayole, Nairobi and Kwale County. Police said they also arrested two suspected traffickers in the incidents. The first incident happened on Monday when police were tipped there were foreigners squeezed at an apartment in Saika area. Kenya police and their Haitian counterparts mounted operations in parts of Port-au-Prince as gang violence escalated at the weekend alone leaving close to 200 people dead. The team under the Multinational Security Support Mission (MSS) said they recaptured a second police station in the area at the weekend. A profile is emerging of the 26-year-old man being held in connection with last week’s fatal shooting of United Healthcare’s chief executive in New York City. Police announced on Monday they had arrested Luigi Mangione on firearms charges after he was recognised at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania. A major operation was mounted after a driver attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) was Monday morning shot and killed by suspected al Shabaab terrorists in an attack in Lafey, Mandera County.  The unknown number of gunmen later grabbed his four-wheel drive car and escaped with it. Police said this was after they had dropped the body of the deceased from the car. A passenger who was in the car was taken away by the gunmen, police said. Police are investigating an incident in which a man died after jumping off the 10th floor of Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi. This is the second such incident to happen at KICC in a month amid concerns about how the victims accessed the balconies of the iconic building. All floors have doors to the balconies and access is limited. The victims were all visitors there with the mission for suicide, police said. A woman who alleges she was sexually assaulted by Sean “Diddy” Combs has amended her lawsuit to include allegations that she was also assaulted by Jay-Z at the same party.
