Gunmen attacked and robbed a motorist and his three passengers in a village in Dagahaley, Garissa County. The area is near the Kenya-Somalia border where al Shabaab militants raid at will. Gunmen raided villages in parts of Ngarua, Nyahururu and drove off an unknown number of animals. The gang staged the attack on Thursday morning and targeted Mbogoini dam bordering Laikipia National Conservancy (LNC), police and locals said. No injury was made during the daring attack. Police killed six suspects in an early morning shootout Thursday near South Africa’s coastal city of Durban, saying they had targeted a gang after a spate of house robberies and murders. Police are investigating an incident whereby a 60-year-old man died under unclear circumstances in one of the lodgings at Kapsoit Trading Centre in Kericho County on Wednesday night. Authorities in Busia County arrested a 22-year-old woman for impersonating a police officer.
