Jambo Jet airline has been sued by a woman who claims that a male flight attendant on August 22, 2016 poured a hot beverage on her thigh, sustaining severe injuries.
Rebecca Wanyonyi now wants a Sh214,600 compensation and an unspecified amount of money for pain and suffering.
Ms Wanyonyi also wants interests on damages and the cost of the suit.
Through her lawyer, Daniel Achach, she alleges that the attendant without ‘due care’ poured hot tea on her causing second degree burns.

She wants the airline to take responsibility for its worker’s actions. The company, she says has ‘neglected to admit liability.’
“Despite demand and notice of intention to sue, the defendant has failed, refused and or neglected to admit liability and compensate the plaintiff,” read the civil suit in part.
