Following a move by Kenya Airways CEO Sebastian Mikosz to hire five expatriates from his previous employer LOT Polish Airlines, five senior managers have exited the company.

The CEO stated that the new five member team would not replace any of the current managers and would work together with the management team to help rebuild the company.

Monika Kietyka-Michna, Edyta Kijewska-Teny, Magdalena Serwach, Marcin Celejewski and Micha Mierciak are among the five hired.

However, a recent memo was sent to staff by the humans resource manager Sammy Chepkwony confirming the exit of Kenya Airways former procurement Manager Christopher Oanda.

“This is to announce that Christopher Onuonga Oanda, who has been the head of procurement, has separated from the company. His last day of service is October 16,” said Chepkwony.

Catherine Moraa (head of internal audit), Lucy Muhiu (head of employee relations), Kevin Kinyanjui (information systems director), and Brian Mbuti (in-flight and jet fuel procurement) are among the list of recent exits from the company.

The KQ board approved the move to hire the five expatriates as the company intends to boost its operations.
