Michael Githae Wins Kenya First Medal In Birmingham

Michael Mugo Githae won bronze in the men’s marathon to record Kenya’s first medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The Fukuoka International Open Marathon winner clocked 2:13.16 to bag his first Commonwealth accolade.

African champion Ugandan Vincent Kiplangat won gold in 2.10.55 with Tanzanian Alphonse Simbu winning Silver.
